Progressive filly Premium Girl has gone to another level this campaign winning three of her four starts for owner-breeder Les Andrews and trainer Tony Triscari.
The 3yo daughter of A Lot (USA) broke her maiden first-up at Pinjarra on New Year’s Eve before producing a powerful finish to double up at Bunbury on Australia Day. And she would have completed a hat-trick earlier this month but for laying out badly when beaten a head by Memory Parade (War Chant) at Ascot.

She settled midfield and relaxed in the three-wide line with cover for jockey Steve Parnham. “She’s a quality filly and Tony was confident she would run the mile right out,” Parnham said. “I put her through the gears and she put them away in the straight.”
Triscari has also prepared her older full-sister Fast Flicker to wins at Belmont and Bunbury this season for Andrews who bought their second-dam Royal Anna (Royal Academy) for $30,000 as a yearling from Widden Stud in 2008. The bottom line goes back another two generations to Irish-bred mare Don’t Worry Me (Dancing Dissident) who won the G1 King’s Stand Stakes (1000m) at Royal Ascot in 1997.
Triscari can see Premium Girl developing into a lovely four year-old mare. “She can get hyped up but has come a long way this prep. We will give her a few weeks off now and she can come back and get over more ground later this season.”
A Lot (Tapit) covered his first five books in the Great Southern before relocating to Westbury Park last year. The move to West Pinjarra boosted his latest book to 70 plus mares.
His first yearling to parade at the Perth Magic Millions on Thursday is the filly from Cadenza (Lot 28) who won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in 2014. She’s part of the Willaview Park draft as are two colts by A Lot. The trio are all out of mares by Oratorio (Stravinsky).
A Lot has G2 WA Guineas runner-up A Lot of Good Men endeavouring to make a black-type breakthrough in the LR Challenge Stakes (1500m) at the postponed Ascot meeting on Wednesday.
